REVIEW: Blood Promise

This is my review of Blood Promise by Richelle Mead, the fourth book in the Vampire Academy series.

REVIEW: Blood Promise

COVER/TITLE. I really like the minimalist matching covers I have for the series – they’re simple enough without the overly-cliche female character on the cover like the old style of the series. Each of the titles continues to be relevant without giving too much away, and this book definitely explored the idea of a promise.

CHARACTERS. Rose has definitely grown up and I feel like her maturity is turning her into a developed, well-rounded character. I feel Lissa is becoming more like the childish one, although her actions throughout this book are explained.

PLOT. I loved

OVERALL. This book was a firm 4* for me – dropping down only slightly because I, like many others, felt that the first half of the book dragged on for a little too long. I respect Rose needed time to mourn, but she didn’t seem to be doing anything in the time he had.
